Joshua 'Lando' Provan

Josh is a lifelong student and lover of history who brings his passion to the world through art and publication!  He has written three excellent books on a wide range of British history, from "Wild East: The British in Japan, 1864-68" and the eagerly awaited "Every Hazard and Fatigue: The Siege of Penascola, 1781."

To get a taste of Lando's knack for storytelling, visit his blog, Adventures in Historyland, and his YouTube Channel by the same name.  If you enjoy his work, remember to join us on the 16th to learn more about his work on the 2nd Anglo-Maratha War!

The "Symposium" is a free digital series hosted by The Native Oak to promote historical scholars and spread awareness of their research.  Hosted via Google Meet calls, these live talks feature a lecture by the visiting academic, followed by an interview and audience Q&A.

Attendance to these events is always free, while small monetary gifts are encouraged from those who are able to give.  A minumum of 90% of all contributions go directly to the guest as compensation for their time.
